Ebola is scary. It’s claimed thousands of
lives, and it’s getting worse. But despite what the media might say, Ebola
is not the worst, nor the deadliest disease on the planet right now.
Here’s just three diseases or conditions more terrifying than Ebola. Number three: Trigeminal Neuralgia
Trigeminal Neuralgia is called the Suicide Disease: It’s considered to be among the most painful conditions ever recorded in humans. It causes sudden, shocking, stabbing pain to the face and whilst some people can be treated, often suffers must endure the excruciating pain for the rest of their lives POLIO The vaccination against Polio is just two drops of serum, and although we’ve been fighting Polio for over 50 years Polio is again on the rise. In May 2014, the World Health Organisation declared Polio a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. It causes paralysis, disfiguration, and death. TYPHOID Typhoid is spread through water contaminated with human feces. It is treatable with antibiotics and preventable with vaccination or sanitation. But in many parts of the world Typhoid is still unforgivably common. It can cause fever, pain, intestinal hemorrhage, and kills almost 200,000 people per year, primarily children. Access to clean water will prevent the vast majority of typhoid cases.
